The New Quad Crank Valve

The Global Quad valve was designed to replace the top drive valve with a single valve with two separate valves built into a single body. The purpose of the Quad valve is to offer a quick change from the top valve to the lower valve, this is added safety to the rig because the valve does not have to be taken off the string and exposing the well to an open environment. When a failure occurs to the upper section of the valve, there are some linkage that will attach the sleeve to the lower cranks on the Quad valve and the section of the valve can then be remotely operated and can continue with drilling until it can be changed at the first scheduled maintenance.
